DISCOVER. CONNECT. CLIMB.
An easy morning hike through the Ghaf forest to welcome the new hiking season, reconnect with the outdoors and meet the MounTurtle community.
This community hike is hosted by MounTurtle Academy in collaboration with The Rest Method, founded by Melanie Taylor.
Along the way, Melanie will guide us through a short meditation, giving us a moment to slow down, connect with ourselves and experience the trail with a little more presence.
Walk. Connect. Begin Again.
Overview
We’re starting the new hiking season somewhere simple and close to home.
Mushrif Park offers an easy sandy trail through the Ghaf forest, with indigenous wildlife, sculptures, wooden bridges, stairways and gentle slopes along the way.
This is not about distance, speed or reaching a summit. It is simply an opportunity to get moving again, spend time in nature and connect with other people who love the outdoors.
The route has very little elevation and is suitable for newcomers as well as experienced hikers looking for an easy morning outdoors.
As part of the experience, Melanie Taylor, founder of The Rest Method, will lead a short meditation during the hike, bringing a moment of stillness and connection into our morning in nature.

Easy | Beginner Friendly The trail is predominantly sandy, with very little elevation. There are some gentle slopes, stairways and uneven sections, but hiking boots are not required. This is a recreational community hike and a great place to start if you are new to hiking.WHAT TO BRING
Please come prepared with at least 1.5 litres of water, your Emirates ID, a hat and sunscreen. Sunglasses are also recommended. Comfortable sportswear and trainers or trail shoes are suitable. Because the route is mainly sandy, hiking boots are not necessary. Temperatures are expected to be around 28–29°C at the start, becoming warmer as the morning progresses. Although parts of the trail are shaded by the Ghaf trees, we will also spend time walking in the sun.LOCATION & PARKING
Search for “Mushrif Park Hiking Trail” on Google Maps. Mushrif Park Hiking Trail – Google Maps There is a large parking area immediately before the hiking trail entrance, with another parking area approximately 500 metres before it. Important: The hiking trail is free to access. If you reach the main Mushrif Park entrance with the barriers and entrance fee, you have gone too far. Turn around and return toward the hiking trail parking area. Parking can become busy, particularly with cycling groups, so we recommend arriving early.COMMUNITY HIKE
